History of Nahavand Higher Education Complex
In February of 2001, based on the educational needs of Nahavand city, the activity of this center began with the admission of the first batch of undergraduate physical education students.
On 01/23/2013, with the follow-ups and the approval of the Higher Education Development and Planning Council, this complex was upgraded to the Nahavand Higher Education Complex and new courses in the fields of engineering were added to it. After the upgrade, the complex operated as an independent academic unit for a while.
In the year 2019, Nahavand Higher Education Complex was officially affiliated to Bou Ali Sina University and now it is considered one of the satellite faculties of this university.
This complex now has 14 faculty members and about 250 students in three educational groups:
1) Sports science
2) Horticultural engineering
3) Applied chemistry
continues to operate.
The existence of the innovation center for medicinal plants and coriander has also provided valuable capacity for the development of scientific, research and skill activities in related fields.
