Fatemieh Nahavand Higher Education Institute

In February 2002, after the then Minister of Science, Research and Technology visited Nahavand County and based on the capacities and potentials of this county, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences began operating as one of the satellite faculties of Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamadan, accepting 25 students in the field of physical education at the undergraduate level.

On 2011/01/13, with the follow-up of the then university president and the order of the Honorable Minister of Science, Research and Technology, and the approval of the Higher Education Development and Planning Council, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was upgraded to the Nahavand Higher Education Complex, which is the largest higher education complex in the west of the country, with two new majors in agricultural engineering and industrial engineering.
